Hebrews
In this profound letter to Jewish believers, the author of Hebrews urges them to recognize the supremacy of Jesus Christ and remain steadfast in their faith. Jesus is presented as the ultimate High Priest, whose once-for-all sacrifice fulfills the old covenant and ushers in a better, eternal covenant. Believers are called to draw near to God, endure trials with perseverance, and live by faith, knowing they are part of an unshakable kingdom established through Christ.

Maurice Lee is the pastor of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Abington, Pennsylvania, an adjunct lecturer in theology for the North American Lutheran Seminary (NALS), and a member of the North American Lutheran Church’s (NALC) Commission on Theology and Doctrine. He was educated at Wheaton College, the California Institute of Technology, Fuller Theological Seminary, and Yale University. He did postdoctoral work at Harvard University and taught at Westmont College before becoming involved with the NALC. Maurice, his wife Beth, and their daughter Ravinia relocated from California to Pennsylvania in 2022.
